Obituary for Carmen Brouillard

Carmen Brouillard
BROUILLARD, Carmen (née Blais) 10 septembre 1943 – 14 mai 2019
The family announces with sorrow her passing in Sudbury, on May 14th at the age of 75 years. Beloved wife of Jacques Brouillard of Chelmsford. Cherished mother to Carole Brouillard Landry (Jett Landry) and her grandsons, Justin (Renée), Alex and Patrick from Chelmsford. Her son, her little prince, André / Pompon (Maggie Bitteto and her girls Lauren and Olivia) and her adored granddaughters Janelle (John) and Melissa of Sudbury. Dear little sister of Claudette Castonguay (late Bernard) and late Gilles Blais (Vivianne). Daughter of late Aurèle and late Diane (Bourgeois). She will also be remembered by Marlene, Janelle and Melissa’s mother and her nephews, nieces, family and friends. We all recognize the values she has shown us: love, respect and honesty. Carmen worked for many years as a returning officer at the provincial and federal level. All who knew her remembered her sense of humour, her witty comments and friendships. She was an exceptional wife, mother and grandmother making sure everybody was happy. We will always treasure her love of life, her wisdom and laughter. She loved singing her french songs and her favorite song: Smile. The family would like to express their gratitude to the health care workers that visited her at home, Dr. Guy Mongeon, the nurses and the personal support workers. A heartfelt thanks to the staff on the 6st floor at Health Science North particularly Jo and Dr. Melanie Langille for the excellent care. Before she left us she said: « Love each other ». A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday May 25th at 11:00 at the St-Joseph Church in Chelmsford. Afterwards, the family will receive friends and family for a reception in the hall downstairs. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
