LANDRY, Gabrielle (née Denis)
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Gabrielle Landry, who died peacefully on August 26th, at the age of 98. Daughter of the late Julien and the late Julia (née Millette) Denis. Wife of the late Nelson Landry (1986). Beloved mother of Yvon, Gisèle (Normand) Robichaud, Suzanne Landry, Henriette (Gilles) Pelletier, Richard Landry, Raymond Landry and Carole (Douglas) Landry Alteen. Cherished grandmother of Ivan, Gilles, Amélie, Isabelle, Louis and Julia, and great grandmother of Jaxson, Philippe and Julianne.
Proud member of her community, Gabrielle contributed to local organizations such as « Les Femmes de la Fédération Canadienne-Française, La Vie Montante and the Golden Age Club in the Valley ». A talented musician, her accordion resonated at many community events.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 30th at the St-Jacques Church in Hanmer at 10 a.m. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, Hanmer. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
