DUMONT, George Louis-1939-2019

It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Mr. George L. Dumont at McCulloch Hospice House on August 12, 2019 at the age of 80 years and 7 months. He was the son of the late George Dumont and the late Albertine Dubé, Dumont. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Cécile (Labonté) Dumont, his children Suzanne (Dumont) Burton (Mike), Iroquois Falls, Rhéal Dumont, late Tina (Delaurier), Iroquois Falls and Linda Dumont, Sudbury.

Grandfather of Gavin Dumont, Jeffrey Burton, Bryce Burton, Stacie Burton. He is survived by his two sisters Laurette Sirois and Carmelle Lavoie of Quebec, QC. Her Sisters-in-law Ernestine Dumont, North Bay, Celine (Marquis) Dumont, Notre Dame du Portage, QC. As well as Huguette & Raymond Desjardins, New Liskeard, Jean Charles Labonté and Annette Ranger, Wahnapitae. Roger and Joanne Labonté, Manitoulin Island, Michel and Carmen Champagne, Sudbury. Nicol and Jeannine Bouffard, Ottawa. He also leaves many nephews and nieces in Sudbury, New Liskeard, Mattawa, Manitoulin Island, Toronto, Ottawa, St. Louis, Montreal, Quebec.
The family thanks the physicians, as well as the staff of the Science North Hospital, palliative care physicians and dedicated caregivers at McCulloch Hospice House, and the Northeast Health Services for the good care provided. with so much human warmth.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Sudbury Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Boulevard, August 18 from 2 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral Mass will be celebrated on August 19th at 11 am in the Chapel of the Cooperative Funeral Home, Sudbury.
Interment will be held at the Civic Cemetery, 2nd Avenue, Sudbury. It would be much appreciated if your testimonials and condolences were to be donated to McCulloch Hospice House or the Northern Cancer Foundation.
