Ada Jane McPhee (née White), age 83, passed peacefully on her own terms with dignity Friday, September 2, 2022 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Daughter of the late Lawrence White and Grace Lacoste (both predeceased). Loving wife of Gordon McPhee Jr. Cherished mother of Kevin (Gaby Pilon), Larry, Brent (predeceased 2014), Kimberly (Sylvie Ma) and Kristine (Luc Tremblay). Dear Sister of Helen (Vince “Red” Coleman), Dorothy (Kurt Simon), Jackie (John Van Driel), Shirley (Ron Erikson) and Karey Vance (Jean Lovin). Beloved Nana of Amanda, Jessica (Brad), Melissa, Victoria (Preston), Megan (Brandon), Rian (Melody) and Dylane (Chad) and great-grandchildren Braedon, Avery, Gracie, Tanner, Taylor, Ramsy and Abel. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ada married Gordon McPhee in Levack on June 30, 1956. In her earlier years, she was a talented seamstress and avid knitter. She enjoyed blueberry picking and baking. At Ada’s request, there will be no visitation or ceremony.
