It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Georgette Mantha (née Tétreault) on November 22, 2022 at Pioneer Manor, Sudbury, at the age of 91.
Beloved wife of the late Jean Mantha (April 2017). She was predeceased by her parents Napoléon Tétreault and Marie-Rose Tétreault (née Lapierre).
Loving and devoted mother to Ghislaine Millette (Laurent), Ronald Mantha (Hélène), Francine Roberts (Paul). She was predeceased by Marcel in April 2022.
She was the cherished grandmother of Jean-Marc Millette (Elizabeth), Philippe Millette (Jen), Richard Mantha, Jacklyn Mantha (Ryan), Michel Mantha (Cassandra), Nathalie Mantha, Chantal Whalen (Patrick), Samantha Campbell (Dylan). Great-grandmother to Selena, Gabrielle, Nolan and Neve Millette, D’Mitri, Janelle, Gage Mantha, Nathan Whalen, Lena Campbell, Nash Purdy and Cairo Mantha.
Dear Sister of Yvette Rochon (Simeon), Roger Tétreault (Alice), Anita Ducharme, Pauline Gravelle (Maurice), Ida Monette and Jeanne Johnson (Bob) & predeceased by Rita Rochon, Aline Giguère, Lucien, Guy and Jean-Paul. Special sister-in-law to Marguerite Lachance.
She will also be missed by many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Mom was well known for her amazing homemade cookies, her gardening and sewing skills. She enjoyed singing and dancing. The family would like to thank all the Personal Support workers, nurses and the staff of Pioneer Manor, especially Lodge 2, for the kind and compassionate care.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 LaSalle Blvd., Sudbury on Monday, November 28th from 2 to 5 pm. Christian Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 29th at 10 a.m. at Ste-Marguerite d’Youville Church, 4290 Hwy 69 North, Val Therese.
In lieu of flowers, donation to Notre-Dame du Rosaire Parish in Blezard Valley for the elevator fund or the Alzheimer’s Society.
