It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Mario Lefrançois on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022, at the age of 57 years at Health Sciences North in Sudbury. Beloved husband and best friend to Francine Lefrançois of 37+ years. Son of the late Lionel and late Germaine (née Démoré) Lefrançois. Loving father to Jason Lefrançois (Chelsea), Joshua Lefrançois (Amanda) and Sarah Levesque (Michaël). Predeceased by his in-laws Aurèle and Jocelyne Portelance. Beloved Poppa to Aveline, Olivier, Oaklyn, and Samuel. Dear brother to Leona (Andy), Vivianne (Max), Rejean (Lynda), Gilles (Wendy) and Ginette (Gilles). Predeceased by his sister Cathy (Bruce). Equally missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law Louise (David), Guy (Judy), Paulette (Ian), Daniel, Nicole (Bill), Marc (Joanne), Claude (Jeanine) and Jovette (Donald). Special m’oncle Gus to many nieces and nephews. Special friend to many. Respected fisherman, hunter, outdoorsman, leader, mentor, Fire Chief, service technician, trainer and most importantly our Poppa Gus. He meant so much to all of us and he will never be forgotten.
