The family announces with sorrow, her death in Lively, Monday, April 22, 2019 at the age of 85 years. Pauline Alma Courchesne (née Lefebvre) slipped away surrounded by her family at her side. Beloved wife of George Donat Courchesne, predeceased June 27, 2005. Loving mother of Mike (Marilyn) of Fort Erie, loving mother of Joanne (special friend Jacquie) of Lively. Pauline was a mom to many (33) foster children over the years which includes Francine, Suzie (AKA Big Sue), Sue (AKA Little Sue), Kelly, Nicole, to name a few. Dear daughter of Edouard Lefebvre and Alix Lepine (predeceased). Step-daughter to Alice Desormeaux. Dear sister of Louis Lefebvre (Lindy), from Sudbury, Marriette Joly, predeceased (Eddy) of Chelmsford, and Renee Bouffard of Sturgeon Falls. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandson Patrick Courchesne and her great-grandson Kyle Courchesne both of Timmins. Dear grandma Bin to Barry Mikkelsen (Alicia) and Erika Harris (Eli) both from Tennessee and Matthew Mikkelsen (Alice) from Ottawa. In her younger days, Mom was an avid desert baker and loved her sweets. She along with Mariette, friends Celina, Coucoune and Joyce would be playing cards and could be heard saying all kinds of things. She also participated in a bowling league and was quite a player winning many trophies. Joanne and Mike expresses greatest of gratitude to Jacquie Tollerton for being there for Mom and being her “personal” nurse. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 1st, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Ste-Marguerite d’Youville Church, Val Thérèse. Donations (by cheque only) to the Nephrology Dept. at Health Sciences North, towards their yearly Christmas Party would be appreciated.
