It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rhéo at the tender age of 69. He went peacefully at Health Sciences North on Thursday, March 21, 2019 with his family by his side. Predeceased by his parents, Hermas Godin and Laurence Vaillancourt (née Pleau) Godin, his sister Georgette and his younger brother Raymond. Beloved husband to his beautiful wife Lillian (née Dagenais), father and mentor to his sons Gabriel (Julie), Marcel (Krista), Joseph “Joey” (Melanie) and his daughter Diane Nuziale (Frank). He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Patrick, Camille, Mathieu and Max. He leaves behind his siblings Colette Stitt, Danny (Denise), Ronald “Ronny” (Lise), Ginette Menard (Marcel), Denis Vaillancourt (Diane), Suzette Vaillancourt ( Alain Comeau), Lee Vaillancourt (Karen) and Fern Vaillancourt (Guylaine), as well as the whole Dagenais family. Dear friend to his brother in-law Lawrence Dagenais, Richard Gareau, Noel Dubé and Gaëtan Belanger. Originally from Fort-Coulonge, Quebec, Rhéo settled in Azilda where he worked hard to give his family a loving home. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Everyone knew Rhéo as a very hard worker.
