Condolence: To the Family of Mr. Robert Girard: On behalf of the Rainy River District Law Association we send our condolences on the passing of your father. Mr. Girard was an Assessment Officer at our Court house for many years. He was extremely gracious, civil and very competent at his job. It was always a pleasure to attend before him on these hearings. He treated everyone with respect. Mr. Girard accommodated the travel to Fort Frances and attended in person which was always appreciated. He will be missed and we are very sorry for your loss. Condolence: I am so truly saddened to learn of Bob's passing. I actually learned of his death when I was in Court in Timmins last week and was speaking about how he was the only remaining member of the Cochrane Court staff who were working there when I started to practice in 1986 and I was speechless when I learned he had passed. Bob was always a gentleman and a professional. He treated lawyers and lay people alike with a kindness and compassion that is rarely seen these days. He will be missed by many. Condolence: My deepest sympathy to all of Bob’s family. I’ve worked with Bob for 15 years and known him for just as long. He was a dear friend, work coach, the court house sunshine and he is deeply missed by us all. We loved his sense of humour his bright smile and being in his presence.

Condolence: Sending you hugs of comfort. Always enjoyed chatting with Bob in the grocery store. We would reminisce about my summers working at the Courthouse. He tried so hard every summer to teach me crib; still can’t play it today. He will be missed.
