It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing in Ottawa on Friday, August 2nd, 2019 at the age of 84 years. Daughter of the late Arthur and late Blanche (née Watier) Simard. Beloved wife of the late Roméo Lebel. Loving mother of Marcel Deschamps (Lucie Dallaire), Marie-Claire Thauvette (Gerry) and Paul Deschamps (Sharon). Dear sister of Roméo Simard (late Ruth Marovic) and Georgette Paquette (Norman). Predeceased by her siblings Laurent Simard (late Jeannine Trottier), Margot Carrey (late Tom), Jean-Paul Simard (late Yolande Nadeau) Stéphane Simard (late Henriette Brisson), Rita Bédard (late Paul) and Philippe Simard (late Agathe Ricard). Cherished grandmother of Sylvie, Luc, Stephanie, Luc, Aimée, Ashleigh and great-grandmother of Gabrielle, Nicole, Théo and of future baby to Luc and Jill. Lovingly remembered by her Godson Marc Simard, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury on Tuesday August 6th, 2019 from 7-9:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday August 7th, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St-Jean de Brébeuf Church, Sudbury.
