GIONET, Jeannine (née Comte)
It is with great sadness that the children and the family announce the passing of Jeannine Gionet in Sudbury, Sunday, April 14th, 2019 at the age of 88 years. Wife of the late Roger Gionet, daughter of the late Alfred and the late Blanche (née Vaillancourt) Comte, beloved mother of Michel (Johanne) and Monique Gionet from Montreal, Nicole Coutu (Raymond) and Pierre (Kristie Lynne) both of Sudbury, predeceased by her son Maurice, the love of her life Roger, brothers Raoul and Gérard, and her sister Juliette. Cherished grandmother of Mia, Maryse, Anie, Nicholas, Marie-Michelle, Samuel and Maxim, great-grandmother of; Elle, Kira, Jules and Arnaud. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Saturday, April 27th, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A religious service will follow at 2:00 pm in the on-site Chapel followed by a luncheon. The children respectfully request that donations be made to the Alzheimer Society Sudbury-Manitoulin North Bay & Districts. Finally, the children wish to wholeheartedly thank the staff from St Joseph’s Villa for having cared for their mother; especially Judy, Lia and Mariola for the kindest of care towards our mother.
