Condolences

Condolence From: Nico van Wieringen
Condolence: We hereby send our condolences to all our Canadean family members.

I assume that we all agree that his years at Hoivakoti have been very tough and hard for John and for that reason his death is a blessing for himself.
We will remember John as a cousin who a.o.
* enjoyed his visits to the Netherlands;
* was a friendly host when we visited him in Canada and who was proud to talk in particular about the outdoor life in Canada;
* who loved the nature of Canada;
* who had a special character but which was certainly formed during his childhood and these years were in the fifties and sixties certainly NOT the most easy years in his life;
* a cousin which I admired for what he had learned and done as a self made man; I never heard from him that he could NOT do something (but that is typical for most Canadean cousins).
Let John rest in peace.

Condolence: Dear Van Leeuwen family,
We are very saddened about the passing of
John Sr. Van Leeuwen.

It was quite some years ago that we were visiting John in River Valley with Norma.
He gave us the grand tour on his estate while we were sitting in the back of his pick-up truck, showing the flowers and the area.

We wish the Van Leeuwen family all the strength in these difficult times.
May John rest in peace.

Condolence: Cousin Jan ( as we called him here in Holland)
was a favorite guest, in earlier days he allready loved the parties which were given by Uncle Kek and aunt Nel and he felt home, when he was here around.
May he now rest in peace.
