Obituary for Peter Pinkerton

Peter Pinkerton
It is with an extremely heavy heart that we announce the passing of Peter Patrick Pinkerton on March 23, 2023 at the age of 59. He was the loving spouse of Pauline (nee Lafontaine). He will be greatly missed by his son Joshua, daughter-in-law Joanne and his granddaughter Amelia. Peter is predeceased by his father and mother Bruce and Helen (nee Murray) Pinkerton. He will be missed by his in-laws Leo and Isabelle (Gagnon) Lafontaine. He is survived by his brother Kelly (Michelle) and his niece Jordain and his Aunt Terry (Brian) who was raised as a sister living and growing up in the same household will all mourn him. He is further survived by his Uncle Bill (Marion deceased) and Lottie (Albert deceased). He is survived by his brothers-in-law Paul and Daniel (Michelle) and nephews and niece Luke, Eric, Marie and McKenzie. He is also survived by many cousins and will always be remembered by his friends at Meadowbrook Retirement Community. Above all else, Peter was a devoted husband. His love for his beautiful wife Pauline was always his greatest priority. Their support of each other through life’s challenges bonded them as soul mates. This bond knew no boundaries. Peter was the kindest and truest soul anyone could ever meet. He gave of himself freely and passionately to the many clients he supported through Community Living. Peter went above and beyond both in his professional and personal life. On special days Peter could be found on the golf course with his son, dad and brother for a day of “serious” golf and much much laughter. These are the fond memories that live on in the hearts of his family. Peter had a passion for music and most specifically his tributes to Elvis. He was committed to getting the word out about Alzheimer’s Disease and became active through the Alzheimer’s Society from doing news bits to sitting on the board. From science fiction to politics Peter was ready to debate. He had a propensity for deep thinking and looking at all sides of an issue. One could not meet Peter and not feel the impact of his witty nature, fairness to all and the genuine compassionate person that he was. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Pius X Church on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 10 a.m. at 45 A St., Lively, Ontario. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home. Donations would be appreciated for the Alzheimer’s Society. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
